Cyborg Awakenings

Cyborg Awakenings Prequel

In this prequel to the series, Earth lies in ruins. Every major city has been decimated by the Mesaarkans, a brutal act of revenge for a massacre committed by an Earth survey team on a distant colony. The war has raged for a century, fought on distant worlds by legions of cyborg soldiers created for battle.

Meanwhile, on the shattered remains of Earth, survivors and their descendants struggle to endure. In what was once Chicago, they live among the ruins—without electricity, without running water, forced to survive much like the pioneers of the 19th century.

This is the origin story of Vyken Dark and Danya Hill—a tale of survival, resilience, and the spark of something greater in the ashes of a fallen world. A prelude to Vyken Dark, this is where it all begins.

Vyken Dark

After eighty years of relentless combat in the Procyon War, cyborg Vyken Dark returns to Earth—a world he barely recognizes. Every major city lies in ruins, overrun by ruthless gangs and ruled by overlords who prey on the weak. In the heart of what was once Chicago, chaos reigns, and survival is a daily battle.

Vyken and his four surviving cyborg brothers are all that remain of their starship’s three-hundred-strong crew. He never wanted this mission, but when his old mentor, Admiral Carson Gregor, asked for his help in restoring order, Vyken couldn’t refuse. If he could have chosen a father, it would have been Carson Gregor.

He took the name Dark for a reason—the darkness inside him made him the perfect weapon, a ruthless killer of the Federation’s enemies. That same darkness has long threatened to consume what remains of his humanity.

But then he returned to Earth… and found her.

Jolt Somber chose his own name, but he didn’t choose what he was made to be—a killer. Designed for war, his creators reinforced his instincts by flooding his system with endorphins every time he took a life. For eighty years, he fought alongside Vyken Dark against the Mesaarkans. Now, with the war over, he and his four cyborg brothers have returned to Earth to help rebuild civilization from the ashes.

Jolt is overseeing demolition in the ruins of Farringay to make way for a new starport. Earth’s cities remain lawless, ruled by ruthless overlords and their gangs of thugs. Violence against women is rampant.

When Jolt finds his genetic mate beaten and left for dead by gangers, the pleasure he takes in avenging her is undeniable… but it could have consequences he never expected. After all she’s suffered at the hands of men, will she ever accept him as her mate?

Talia’s Cyborg

Interstellar war left Earth in ruins. After the fighting ended, cyborgs returned to rebuild civilization—and to awaken the warriors still in stasis, waiting to fight a war that was over.

Talia Cannon, a descendant of apocalypse preppers, lives off the grid in the Blue Ridge Mountains. She’s the last of her family line, and if she wants a future, she needs a mate. Jolt Somber understands that rebuilding civilization starts with rebuilding families, so he takes Talia to Farringay to see if one of the cyborgs under his command is her genetic match.

Bodee Flint is nearly the last cyborg she meets—but the moment they kiss, she knows. He’s hers. Sexy, strong, and utterly devoted to her, Bodee is ready and willing to give her everything, including the children she longs for. Whenever she so much as thinks about pleasure, he’s more than happy to oblige.

He’s the best thing that’s ever happened to her. But will she realize just how much he means to her before it’s too late?

After the alien war devastated Earth, cyborg soldiers returned to rebuild, awakening those still in stasis to aid in the effort. Axel Rex was one of them.

Tasked with demolishing ruins in Farringay to make way for a new interstellar starport, Axel had been educated and trained for both war and love during his virtual life in stasis. Love, in the form of one genetically compatible mate, was promised as their ultimate reward for service.

But love was the last thing on his mind—until one stubborn woman refused to leave a condemned building.

Layne Rose and her cat, Sammy, had claimed the ruins as their home, and no cyborg goon was going to take that away. When Axel pulls her out—kicking and screaming—he doesn’t expect to look into her furious eyes and realize she is his mate. And when she pleads to go back for her cat, he can’t bring himself to refuse.

But Layne has no intention of sticking around. The moment she gets her cat, she runs. Axel catches her easily, but instead of dragging her away, he convinces her to come to the cyborg barracks, giving him time to figure out how to tell her what she truly is to him.

Layne can’t deny the raw, primal attraction between them. She’s not sure she likes him, but she knows she won’t get a better offer in this new world.

Could she love a cyborg? Could she love this cyborg?

Dagger Jack is a spinoff novella featuring a peripheral character first introduced in Axel Rex. Left clinically dead after a brutal ambush by rogue cyborgs, he was revived at a cyborg production facility south of Chicago—his future already mapped out.

His mission was clear: help rebuild a city and starport ravaged by war, then serve as a Protector in one of the newly reclaimed rural communities in the east.

But when he awakens the second time, everything changes.

Just before he fell in battle, he scented his female. Now, the need to find her burns hotter than his duty. He doesn’t want to wait. He doesn’t want to heal. He only wants her.

He was made for war—but only her love can make him whole again.

Note: This book can be read as a standalone, but reading the previous books in the series will enhance the experience.
